What you get on the free plan

Upload a PDF, add your signers and send. Carta finds the signature, initials and date lines for each person, so there is nothing to highlight by hand.

Signers sign from any phone or computer, with no account and nothing to download. They can choose one of four signature styles or draw their own.

When the last person signs, everyone gets the sealed copy by email, with the Carta Seal and a Certificate of Execution. Every document stays in your Archive.

When you need more

Solo is $12 a month or $120 a year. Unlimited is $29 per user a month or $290 a year, and includes signing links by text. The Text Pack adds 50 text sends for $12 a month to any paid plan. Larger teams can talk with us about Enterprise.

Is a free e-signature legally binding?

Under the federal ESIGN Act, an electronic signature has the same legal effect as one in ink for most business and personal documents, in every state. Each state also recognizes electronic signatures under its own law.

The price of the service does not change the law. What matters is a clear record of who signed, when, and that nothing changed afterward, which is exactly what the Certificate of Execution shows.
